Platform & Priorities

Growth with heart. Progress with purpose.

I’m running for Town Council because I believe we can grow as a town without losing what makes us feel like home. High River isn’t just where we live—it’s where we build connections, raise families, and support one another. I’m focused on progress that strengthens that spirit, not replaces it.

Let’s Be a Town People Want to Stay In

High River should be the kind of town where people don’t just move to—they choose to stay. That means making thoughtful decisions that support the long-term well-being of families, young professionals, retirees, and everyone in between. From housing that meets people where they’re at, to community events that bring us together, to spaces where people feel safe, connected, and seen—we have to be intentional about building a town that invites people to build their lives here, not just pass through.

Whether you’ve lived here for generations or just found your way to town last year, High River should feel like home you’re proud to invest in.

Smart Growth Without Losing Our Small Town Vibe it.

Small town charm is more than heritage buildings and quiet streets—it’s a way of life. It’s joining a local service club, stepping up to coach a rec team, or volunteering at the parade just because it’s tradition. It’s chatting with familiar faces on the sidewalk, walking into a coffee shop where they already know your order, and being on a first-name basis with the folks at the post office. It’s helping each other out before being asked, and feeling like you belong—just because you’re here.

I believe we can grow as a community without paving over the pieces that make this town so special. Smart growth means welcoming new people, businesses, and opportunities while staying rooted in who we are. With the right vision, progress and charm can live side by side.

he Projects Are Happening. Let’s Make Them Work—Together.

Some big decisions in our town have already been made. Whether we personally agreed with them or not, they’re in motion—and it’s time to shift our energy toward making them successful. I truly believe that most people wouldn't be as upset about these projects if they felt their voices were heard throughout the process. That’s why I’m committed to ensuring that community input still matters, even after the ground is broken.

Transparency shouldn't stop at approval—and projects should continue to serve the people who live here, not leave them feeling ignored or pushed aside. We don’t have to agree on every past decision to work together on what comes next. It’s time to move forward constructively, with open communication and clear intention, so residents feel seen, included, and confident that this town is working for them.

Support Local Business, Every Step of the Way

Local businesses are what give High River its heartbeat. From long-standing shops to first-time entrepreneurs, our small business owners do more than sell products—they sponsor teams, support fundraisers, and know their customers by name.

I’ll work to ensure our business community is supported in practical ways—by reducing unnecessary red tape, advocating for accessibility upgrades, and making sure our policies actually work for the people living them every day.

Accessibility Where It Counts

While my campaign doesn’t center on disability, I will always champion accessibility—because it benefits all of us. This isn’t just about wheelchair users like me. It’s about grandmas with walkers, teenagers on crutches, moms pushing strollers, and delivery drivers hauling goods into our local shops.

Accessibility means everyone can move through our public spaces with dignity, safety, and ease. It makes life easier for people at every stage, in every season. It’s not just the right thing to do—it’s the smart thing to do.

Let’s Drop the Drama and Raise the Standard

We all want what’s best for our town—but lately, it feels like negativity has taken the wheel. I believe in honest, respectful, and community-first conversations—not Facebook feuds or toxic commentary.

You won’t always agree with every decision I make, and that’s okay. What matters is how we talk to each other, how we listen, and how we move forward with purpose. I’ll always show up with an open mind, a respectful tone, and a genuine desire to serve.
