Your vote matters—and here’s how to use it.

Election Day is Monday, October 20, 2025.

Whether you’ve voted before or this is your first time, this page will guide you through everything you need to know: how to register, who’s eligible, and when and where to cast your ballot.

  • If you’re a resident of High River, chances are—you can vote! To be eligible, you must:

    • Be at least 18 years old on Election Day

    • Be a Canadian citizen

    • Be a resident of the Town of High River on Election Day

    Note: You do not need to own property or have voted before.

    • Advance Polls:
      • Thursday, October 9, 2025 ⋅ 9 AM–8 PM
      • Wednesday, October 15, 2025 ⋅ 9 AM–8 PM
      • Saturday, October 18, 2025 ⋅ 10 AM–6 PM

    • Election Day: Monday, October 20, 2025 ⋅ 9 AM–8 PM

    All voting days (advance and election day) take place at:
    BSRC Cargill Field House
    228 12 Ave SE, High River

    This single, central location makes access easy—no need to find multiple polling stations around town.

  • Do I need to register in advance?

    High River uses Alberta’s Permanent Elector Register through Elections Alberta. Confirm your registration by Monday, September 15, 2025 by:

    You can also register in person on voting day—just bring valid ID.

  • ID Requirements

    YBring one piece of government-issued ID showing your name and High River residential address (e.g., driver’s license or Alberta ID card). Other accepted IDs will be listed by the Town closer to election day.
